Finland
Where do I begin with this amazing country.
We only spent a week here and so much happened. So I'll just go into a short recap of the main things we did and that happened.
Our first day in Helsinki it was snowing quite a bit we got probably around 4 inches but we still got our winter layers on and explored the city.
We wanted to get a good feel for the people and the place so we did prayer walks around Helsinki.
It’s beautiful the way the water is around so much of the city and the architecture of the old and the new. It defiantly wasn’t like any other city I’ve ever been to.
The next few days we got up the idea to do coffee ministry. ( a vision I had hoped to see happen)
I found out the average Finnish person drinks at least 12 cups a day. So I knew we had to do something with coffee...
We thankfully were able to and for most of the week we went around the city with signs we had made saying "free coffee" and "free prayer" things like that. We saw so many people, many were thrown off as to why we would be giving out free coffee they just came up to ask us what we were doing. We got to tell them why we were in Finland and how much Jesus loved them and wants to have a relationship with them.
I got to share the gospel and prayer for many that came up for coffee.
We had an incredible time, we were so thankful for how open most of the Finnish people were, and how most of them actually acknowledged their being a God
But for their culture they see it as being a childish thing and once educated in college you’re above knowing or following God. We found that most of them felt their life was good and they were happy so they don’t see a need for God in their lives. It was really awesome to share with them just how God wants to be involved in the good and the bad times in our lives.
I’m so thankful we got to have many conversations with people on the streets God was really working in me and my team sharing the gospel and the love of the father to others.
Some days we were having two hour long conversations with locals being on the edge of salvation.
During the week we also got to be apart a local prayer room. We weren’t sure what it was going to be like but we knew they were praying for Israel. Next thing we know our whole group and 6 older ladies are praying and interceding for Israel. It was so cool each week these ladies get together and pray for different things and they were praying hard.
It was really powerful to be apart of and see how active their faith was in prayer.
At the end they all wanted us to write our name along side our countries flag on the wall with their prayer notes.
It was so sweet they were so touched that we had come and prayed with them. They wanted to pray for us at the end and then they gave us all hugs and next thing I knew this older later didn’t want to let go of my hand and we started dancing to the worship music.
Everyone joined in and each of the ladies was up and dancing with us.
It was precious. I loved that moment dancing with these Finnish ladies filled with such joy of the Lord.
As we were leaving they told us we were the first international team to come to the prayer room. It was a pretty new prayer room that just opened recently, we were so honored that we got to be apart of it.

Our van was in the shop again during our week in Finland but has since been repaired.
Please pray for our safety and provision and that we wouldn’t have any more issues.
Pray for strength in the team as we go into a new county these next few weeks for evangelism in the capital of Latvia in Riga.
Every country is different with how people approach the gospel.
